Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and AllerIQ ("we", "us") governing your use of the AllerIQ platform. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you use AllerIQ on behalf of a business, you accept on that business's behalf.

1. The service

AllerIQ lets restaurants build, publish, and share digital menus with allergen information, including AI-assisted menu import, ingredient-to-allergen mapping, translations, dish photography, and a guest-facing menu chat. We may add, change, or remove features as the product evolves.

2. Allergen information — your responsibilities

AllerIQ is a publishing tool, not a substitute for your restaurant's food-safety judgment. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the menus, ingredients, allergen mappings, and cross-contact disclosures you publish. AI-generated suggestions (imports, allergen detection, descriptions, chat answers) are aids that must be reviewed by your staff before publishing.

  • Keep your menu current — update it when recipes, suppliers, or kitchen practices change.
  • Train staff to verify allergen questions directly with the kitchen for severe allergies; the guest chat reminds guests to do the same.
  • Comply with the food-safety and allergen-disclosure laws that apply to your locations.

AllerIQ does not provide medical, legal, or food-safety advice, and published menus are informational for guests — not a guarantee that any dish is safe for any individual.

3. Accounts

Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or put other users, guests, or the service at risk.

4. Subscriptions & billing

  • New accounts start with a free trial (currently 14 days). Going live with a public menu requires an active subscription after the trial.
  • Paid plans bill monthly through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the billing page or Stripe portal; access continues to the end of the paid period.
  • Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply at your next renewal.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Your content

You own your menus, images, and brand content. You grant us the license needed to host, process, display, and back up that content to operate the service (including processing by our AI provider when you use AI features). You confirm you have the rights to the content you upload.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • misuse the service, probe or disrupt its infrastructure, or bypass rate limits;
  • upload unlawful, infringing, or deceptive content, or knowingly publish false allergen information;
  • resell or white-label the service without our written consent;
  • use automated scraping against published menus beyond normal guest use.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AllerIQ will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims arising from the content you publish (including allergen information), your use of the service in violation of these terms, or your violation of applicable law.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Settings → Danger zone. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach. Sections 2, 5, and 7–9 survive termination.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
